12.05: Today's exam and a suggested solution.
07.05:Here is a very brief summary of what has been going on in this course. I am still in the process of making questions for the exam. See you on Monday.
05.05: Finally, the last exercise solution is available. Lecture notes from April 26 may not be ready before the exam (on spintronics and GMR). On the other hand, I promise I will not ask questions about this on the exam (May 12).
20.04: Lecture notes from April 12 and April 19 are now available below. The final lectures will be on April 26, tentatively about spintronics and GMR. I will soon try to work out an overview of where to read about the various covered topics in the books by Heinzel, Datta, and Beenakker/van Houten, and possibly also more elementary books on solid state physics. Stay tuned!
19.04: Lectures in B21 Berg building today. Topic: Single electron tunneling. Exercise 9 and 10 are available below. I am somewhat behind schedule with the posted lecture notes, but I will do my best to have notes from April 12 and April 19 ready within this week.
